Advanced Moulage Techniques

Dr. John Bonner  $25.00 participation Fee

These classes will be taught by some of the best in our field. Don’t miss out on this opportunity. Classes are free. Pre-registration before August 10, 2006 is essential if you prefer hotel accommodations please. On site check-in opens Thursday. Classes begin Friday morning and last all day.  Medical demonstrations all day Saturday. After battle scenario will see approximately 55 wounded for our tables. Watch tent cities go up! Talk with soldiers and civilians, see what life was like!

Camp Followers Concert

        Opening ceremonies for the weekend events with period music.

Campfire Stories and Song

Listen to real and imaginary tales of Civil War around                                                                                   campfires with our re-enactors.

Wake-up call for soldiers. Registration opens.

Meeting will begin at  the big tree (On battlefield0

Camps open to the public

The public is invited to stroll into camps, ask questions and talk with Civil War actors.

Infantry Drill        

The public is invited to watch soldiers drill on the battlefield

Artillery Drill

The public is invited to watch artillery drills on the  battlefield

Vendors will be serving food all weekend

Dunking of Mary Ragan

Rally begins at the band shell and ends at willow creek

Public is invited to attend press conference with Mr. Lincoln and the Generals Grant & Lee. Please feel free to ask questions

All nurses and Dr.s must attend.

Artillery Demonstration

School of the Artillery will be at the battlefield for demonstrations.

The Field Hospital personnel will be in full swing demonstrating their awesome skills.

Baked goods Auction

Home baked goods will be up for sale by highest bidder. Public welcome.

After the Auction               Pirates                    All pirates (and Children) meet at the band shell to start treasure hunt!

Sons of Union Veterans

A meeting will be held at shelter #3

Supper will be served for the troops by the Christian Commission for the North

and the Ladies Aide Society for the South.

7 pm

Lincoln Remunerates          

President Lincoln will take the stage to share some of his thoughts and experiences in office.

8 pm       

Military Dress Ball

Public is invited to join us and learn the Civil War Era dances.

10 pm     

Night Fire

We will be showing off the beautiful effects of cannon illumination during a firing at night.

11 pm

Camps are closed, all quiet. Sentries and security are posted.

Bob Welch is our wandering minstrel and will be telling tales and singing songs through-out the day..

Military Ball Saturday night –The public is invited to attend (Civil War dress not necessary)

Pirates lead children’s treasure hunt and raid.

Mail Call and Pay Call (to be announced)

Talks will be given by groups about their roles during the Civil War.

Evening campfire tales Friday night.

 

Reenactor Information and Rules

Our officers are eager to make sure that you have a fun and safe time.

We have very few rules but expect them to be followed.

Put all trash in bags provided by registration.

All pets must be on a leash while in the park.

No exposed alcohol. Keep it limited and hidden. If it causes a problem you will be asked to leave.

No alcohol prior to battle.

Keep camps looking authentic.

Period firearms only-no exceptions.

All weapons must be inspected prior to battles.

Vehicles must be parked in designated areas while camp is open to the public.

Any photos and/or movies taken by this committee may be used in future promotions.

Have a fun and safe time.

Our schedule will be full of fun things to do. 

We will be giving out rations to all, gunpowder per rifle, cannon powder per gun, blood and bandages per medical unit.

 Staff members will be clearly visible this year and available to solve problems and answer questions.

     Registration, Site Maps, Event Schedule, Trash bags and an answer person will be available at our centralized information booth starting Wednesday noon.

     We will be raffling off some nice items this year and will begin selling tickets in the spring so you can have more chances to purchase tickets.

     There will also be some nice prizes to give away for several contests.

They will be listed in our schedule of events.
